5 year olds are amazing creatures

August 27, 2016 by Jill 1 Comment

My little B, who was my NICU baby, hilariously out-proportioning the bassinet at 9 pounds–is now my absolutely amazing 5 year old. B has been kind of a peek-a-boo genius. She plays the dumb blonde FABULOUSLY. She’s been working the ‘I love blue and trucks’ for a long time. With the approach of five delights … [Read more…]

Who says TV doesn’t make an impression?

August 26, 2016 by Jill 4 Comments

Moms can probably relate– I fell asleep walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night–it’s only about 10 feet–and smashed into the doorway and TV– with my FACE. Talk about a wake up call. At least it didn’t cause any lasting damage. Any funny mom injuries ever happen to you?

The Right Thing to Say

July 25, 2016 by Jill 1 Comment

My oldest, age 7, just suffered a tough loss in her final softball tournament game of the year. Their team took 2nd place. They had a great coach and all the heart in the world. But an 8 p.m. game against a better strategized team just did them in. It was a close enough game, … [Read more…]

Big Fun! Crazy things! We’ve done them lately! We even had a little fun doing it! Used our anniversary dinner money to let the kids ride carnival rides at the 4th of July park celebration. My husband did this. But really why get out more cash? I hope we don’t forget at some point to … [Read more…]

Last week of home school! May 23-27

May 29, 2016 by Jill Leave a Comment

It’s the last week of the regular home school year. I split the kids workbooks into 4 more days and we’re calling it a semester! Yes! It’s bit more than I’d normally have them do from the workbooks in a week, but a lot is review or fairly easy for them. The 4 yo last … [Read more…]
