We’re still working with the basic workbooks this week, but first, the weekend! It was mother’s day weekend which meant we ran, ran, ran and I still didn’t feel super celebrated. Friday night was the mother/daughter thing at church, and it was rush rush getting everyone ready. The toddler still peed her pants in the … [Read more…]
The kids Club is over for the year and they had their swim party for it Sunday. The toddler has bronchitis and about half the family has some sort of sniffle. I’m waiting for it to hit me. Needless to say it’s been kind of scattered around here what with saying ‘cover your face’ every … [Read more…]
Monday the kids worked on some more basic skills, working through letters and math concepts for their age. They also graphed jelly beans since Friday was national jelly bean day! I told my husband tonight that I feel like Peter Capaldi chipping away at that wall (Dr. Who, Heaven Sent)… he asked what was on the other side… but I had no answer. It just seems imperative that I shatter the wall to bits. None of the other people involved in my discussion group … [Read more…]
Eggs! So many animals lay them! With feathers or fur, with scales and skin…some sit with them, some leave them at the shore, but all are creatures we adore… maybe? Check out our Pinterest board HERE. Most of the ‘paper trail’ stuff is here. We’ve been slowly getting Easter books in, so I’m adding them … [Read more…]
This month we’ve been focusing the most on learning to do things to make themselves more independent. Opening applesauce cups, squeezers, drink pouches, candy or snack packets, zipping coats, folding and putting away laundry, etc. While they don’t often get the individual packaging, the times when they do is when we’re already stressed, on the … [Read more…]
