We’re continuing to craft, color, read, and discuss food groups and nutrition. We plan on moving on to gardening, planting, seeds and the like soon. The tide is turning for the first half of the week to WARM!! So we’ll be spending (or at least the kids) a lot more time outdoors. Mom needs to play catch up on EVERYTHING!
To wrap up nutrition we’re finishing dairy and closing in on fruits and vegetables. We talked about common fruits and veggies, parts of the plant that we eat, that they are grown in gardens, on farms, can be obtained from farmers markets and grocery stores, they come from seeds, some seeds are edible, etc. We did fruit and veggie riddles, sang farm and dairy songs to familiar tunes, talked about where milk comes from, the types of animals, how dairy is packaged, and so on….
