Workbooking- Week Ending Feb 10
This week was mostly about review for our workbooking. The kids caught up to where they had been before 2 giant unit studies on dinosaurs and the solar system! For my 8 year old, that meant multiplication review, and addition review for the Kindergartner. Here are some photos of the previous week’s art. Lots of stars, planets, and some freehand work that my daughter did with watercolors. She tried to write ‘far away and up close’ and her dad spelled ‘far’ with an extra consonant. I’ve leave you to guess which one.
Our baby has surpassed the one year mark and is doing things like crawling up on the block table. It’s very inconvenient. I had a brief date with the 5 year old while her sisters swam. We waited for the lunar eclipse, but it was ‘meh’… My 8 year old got help with making a pillow and a mattress for her American Girl doll. She was THRILLED! She helped put together a bed as well, but I don’t have pictures of that. Those are on dad’s phone, but suffice to say she is one happy AG ‘friend’ or whatever.
I was able to do some work with a local charity one night during swim lessons. That was a huge blessing on me to have something for my hands to do in service, not just for my own family. It is something we already support with in-kind donations, so it was neat to see it really ‘work.’
