This week was all about early spring weather. There was a lot of outside time and exploring things like the old bean pods from the summer that were still in the garden. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine and did what they could to help get the new tunnel on the play set. Every spare minute was in the sun!
Monday we started out reading some dental hygiene books for health. This followed up their workshop and worksheets from the week before. Then we headed to the park with our mom’s group since all their kids were off for the day. I was shocked at how well my 3 year old was climbing. This really led to us finishing up the rock wall at home for the kids during the week. Now they climb it as much as they can!
Lunch time brought a funk, because I insisted they all sit still while everyone finished eating. It was a gourmet meal considering it was at the park: sandwiches, goldfish, cherry tomatoes, pepper slices, and grapes. In the end, they all had a blast. I got a sunburn, in February. See? Early Spring Weather! They had swimming lessons that night, too. Their club was canceled because of the holiday.

The rest of the week brought a continuation of their new math topics of addition and multiplication, plus handwriting and language skills. They worked in their workbooks and read independently. Tuesday was a Pet Event at the library where my 5 year old made crafts and listened to stories. The kids cashed in their Book It certificates for February while I went to Mom’s Night Out. Saturday was the 8 yo turn for a Hank the Cow Dog book event, and 4-H wrapped up the week after church and family time on Sunday.
