T U V States
This week we studied the T U V States. T U V States included Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia. We will hurry through the W States by Tuesday for election day! Obviously from the pictures below, we had quite a busy week. We watched the Cubs games (my husband is a long time fan), visited the library, made homemade nooodles with Gran (my mom), and got super cool tattoos for learning our spelling words. Our kids defied all stereotypes by playing on tablets, outside, unsupervised.
The kids earned their book-it certificates by reading 31 (2nd/3rd) and 40 (K/1st) books in October! They got their flu shots, our newly turned 8 year old got her check-up, and I got a MOMS night out (see link!) It was great to do something just for me! We finished off with our slowest Saturday in over 2 months! We’re slowly trying to re-stock, re-tidy, and fix things that are messed up. Bit by bit we’re hoping to get everything ready for Christmas and beyond! I can’t believe our first quarter/main topic is over! The kids have done a great job with all their subjects and I’m more than ready to move beyond this into more little kid friendly topics!
