(Those are lyrics to a Toby Keith song, by the way…probably from the early 2000’s.. lol-country music in the US if you’re not familiar.) I do have an About Me page. Hmm looks like that needs updated, as it only shows 4 people and 2 kids, and that’s not right! Ha! I’ve been doing Fun Monday for a long time. It is how I found some of my very favorite blogs and people. Here’s my photo. It’s clearly a ‘haven’t slept a full night in months and got up at 4 am with the hubby and baby’ kind of picture.. but that’s who I am right now.. so.. you know..here it is..
So yeah. I’m Jill. I used to blog as ‘little mouse’ but made the change around the time I had my first child, because I didn’t feel like a little mouse anymore! One of our friends says I’m more like a momma bear. I try hard not to be a helicopter parent (I’m the type that will take a picture of an injury before tending to it– but after I’ve awwed the child and kissed them) but I’m definitely one that does all she can to promote my kids health, well being, and education. I’m a planner and I hate clutter, which means of course that my house is always trashed and nothing ever goes to plan– I have kids, so my ‘normal’ is NOT normal anymore. Probably why I’m so irritable all the time 😛 ! Let’s see, I’m a Christian (but not in the ‘I hate everyone who isn’t like me’ way that is so often shown on tv and blathered out through the radio)–but in the way of ‘Jesus loves you’.. the end. My kids learned a new song and sang it on Easter ‘red and yellow black and white they are precious in his sight’… they think it’s about the color of shirt someone wears. Because they don’t understand ‘color’…we work very hard for our kids to be even more accepting of people where they ARE and not where anyone else thinks they ought to be, and who they are, not what someone else thinks they ought to be. I won’t use my beliefs as a weapon or pass stereotypes on if I can help it. Oh yeah I love football. Chicago Bears fans here. My big hobby right now is cloth diapers. If I’m changing diapers anyway, they might as well be adorable and save me money. The diaper picture below has been on all of my kids. It’s still in great shape. Anyone with questions about it, feel free to browse my page, click on the ‘cloth diapers’ tag on the right, or send me an email. Always happy to chat! Let’s see married to my partner of almost 13 years, we go by ‘Team Shoemaker’ and have for ages. He’s awesome. Computer guy who knows a lot about vehicles, and isn’t afraid of anything. Our core beliefs are in pretty much perfect sync, but we enjoy different hobbies. He’s 6’1 and I’m scraping 5’2 on a good day. When allowed, we can just talk about anything for hours. Usually our 3 little ones get in the way of conversation though. We have a brunette, a blonde, and a redhead. All girls. All crazy and wonderful. Ages 5.5, almost 3, and let’s call it 5 months. We’re not sure if we’re done having kids yet. So I blog about parenting, being ‘almost’ crunchy, and just life in general. The idea of ‘without bubble wrap’ came to me when realizing so many parents won’t let their kids have ‘fun’ and try things because they fear they’ll get hurt. They’d rather ‘wrap them in bubble wrap’ then let them learn. So… life is not bubble wrapped was born…I’m a stay at home mom who spends too much time on facebook, enjoys chatting with anyone about just about anything and occasionally gets something published on a cloth diaper blog, which nets me ‘points’ towards more diapers or toys, etc. The only way I make any money is if people click my affiliate link and shop at that particular store–and even then I haven’t seen any of that money and probably won’t– at this point it will probably go into diapers for giveaways because I love sharing with others– otherwise, my husband is the breadwinner. Which really should be bacon winner mmm bacon! I love to cook, bake, and share that with others! Occasionally I get to cross stitch or do some scrapbooking, but not often. Oh and I love to read and plant stuff when I can. Good reads helps me keep track of what I want to read, and it’s a lifesaver because my brain is never able to remember what I want it to anymore! So.. yeah. That’s pretty much me. Ask me anything. I love comments and will reply and/or make a new post if anyone has a burning question!

Life sure had changed since I first read you. K was so little then! Now she’s about to start school and there are two more! I’ve really enjoyed watching your family grow.

I have enjoyed catching up with your life. I love the description of your kind of Christian. Your pictures are wonderful. You and your children are beautiful.
