Dr. Seuss would be 110! Born on March 2nd, 1904, and the author of many favorite children’s books, this celebrated author has encouraged and inspired many children into a lifelong love of reading!
While we’ll be celebrating his birthday by reading like last year, I’ve printed out a couple of activities for us to do, as well as grabbing our matching game down and giving it a play! The above activities are from a site I found last year. Find the hop on popcorn printout here and the fishbowl (counting and addition) here! She has MANY more ideas and activities gathered in one place, so go check it out! I’ve messaged her and asked if she could make a blank fishbowl, but in the meantime you could easily toss letters, numbers, words, shapes, math problems, or anything that matches onto the blank ‘popcorn’ page! What I don’t have printed out is the hop on pop sight words, since my 5 year old reads above that level and my 2 year old doesn’t read at all. If you have that book though, it would be an AWESOME resource for you! She’s also got ideas for green eggs and ham and many other loved books. I think we’ll use some green dye and make some green eggs for the kids this year.

I’ve always been on the fence with him. Sometimes his books just irritated me. ha ha ha ha
