I received this book as a first reads preview book (from goodreads.com). My 5 year old daughter really liked this book. So much in fact that it’s been over a month and I had to go searching for it as she had run off with it to read it over and over! — Stevie really LOVES his bed and he’d like to take it everywhere. School, the zoo, etc. I love that it explores a lot of different topics that are typically covered in any single book all in one book, and that it’s meant to be read before bed . This way just about anything your child likes is probably included and would be great for a group of siblings with various tastes as a bedtime story. One story covers it all! The simple rhyming pattern covers a lot of different ending sounds. There’s a lot of text with huge colorful pictures as well. There’s a lot of complex words like definitely, perplexed and capture that young read-alouders don’t often hear in their simple books. ‘A change of heart changes everything’ is written onto the footboard of the bed and it’s a good reminder for all of us.
