I received this book as a part of the first reads preview program from goodreads.com! My 5 year old liked it so much that when it came in the mail, she kept it with her in the backseat of our vehicle and read it every time we went somewhere! I had to go track it down! There are some fabulous illustrations and there is an awesome (obvious) message of course for young kids. When I asked my daughter what she thought about it, she said she wanted the same book with ‘a different title’…. Let’s hope that Mr. Mott will comply! It’s great that there are girls prominently featured in a book that ‘fights’ monsters! Often monster books for girls are slanted toward the ‘friendly’ variety, but this book lets girls ‘take names’ so to speak.
