I re-read the first harry potter book again, plus these 2. Somehow, I doubt I will get to any more by the end of the year, so here’s what we’ve got:
|
Books:
60–my feed says 58, but there are 59 covers there and then the HP book again. My goal was 50. Not bad!
19, 510 pages!
7 books were written before the year 2000, the rest afterward, with at least half of them written after 2010.
I’m not sure where to set my goal for next year. Obviously I’ll have less time at the beginning of the year, with naps stabilizing closer to the end of the year (and oh my goodness kindergarten for the older one making for a quiet day!) Maybe 25? What do you think?
Book review for the Jack o Lantern box: The Jack-o-Lantern Box by Karen Joan Kohoutek
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I got this as a first reads preview book, thinking it was a children’s book. While it featured children as the main characters, it isn’t something I’d have my kids read because it has some mature themes. I think it would be good for mature junior highers or high schoolers exploring coming of age books.
