I’m a total book geek. I was raised on characters like Charles Wallace Murray, Alice in Wonderland, Pippi Longstocking, and Black Beauty. My all time love, however has to be Harry Potter. Other than ‘how to survive on a desert island’, the original tome is the one I would take on a desert island given the chance. It sets up the whole story (and has a back story, too) and provides endless characters to interact with in your mind.
I’m not sure what’s better, that he’s SUCH a flawed character, that it pits the good versus evil in such a defining way, that it provides lessons on everything from bravery to ‘everyone, even bullies need kindness now and then’ or what. I just happen to love the book and the pure humanness in all of them, but Harry most of all.
I suppose this is a short post, but what else can I say?
