A peek at the week….inside my womb:
Fruit/Veggie Comparison: bout 15.7 inches long now and weighs almost 3 pounds– about the size of a large cabbage!
Shape: basketball
Food: Well, I had my (repeat) glucose test today, Friday. From the minute it got in my mouth, it started burning. My nurse had indicated I could have water, but the testing facility said no, so I sat there for 3 hours with a burning throat. Then my Dr’s office didn’t get back to me as to if I passed or failed 🙁 However now anytime I eat, my throat burns and I have to drink a ton of water.
Least favorite thing: The online registration process for the hospital failed repeatedly, so I called in, and they SPOILED MY SURPRISE SURGERY DATE 🙁 Also the first failed glucose test and 2nd burning test 🙁
Most favorite thing: My restrictions have been lifted, so now I *can* move faster and be a wife to my husband.. now that I’m moving too slow for it to matter and *everything* is uncomfortable.. Blah. Still though, Definitely the best part of the week.
Mental state: Anxiety over this glucose test.. you know you’d think that I would get good news again, but seems like one thing is good, then the rest ends up bad for a while.
Preparation:
-I washed the 3-12 mo gender neutral clothes and labeled the plastic bin drawers in the nursery closet with the appropriate sizes and got them sorted into the drawers.
-Towels, wash cloths, burp cloths, and changing pads are washed and in appropriate places.
-I shopped for some items to hang up in the nursery. See the tutorial for the baby board here.
-We had our last ultrasound and the Dr said the baby is fine, so now we’re literally just waiting and hoping that my health is okay.
-I scheduled the rest of my appointments on out through my (spoiled) surgery date, so my husband can plan his schedule accordingly.
