I wonder from time to time out of my over 100 (including flats and prefolds, ya’ll) cloth diapers, what I would choose if I could do it all over again. If I had to. You know if there was a fire or something. Or… what after almost 5 years would I recommend to a new person just starting out. To be honest? It’s changed. A LOT. Even over the last 2 years. Heck over the last year even. at this point, I’m going to just lay out diapers, if you want other posts from me, please let me know. If you need help figuring out a budget and how to buy diapers on it, let me know and I’ll work on that, too. But I’m going on the ‘fire’ premise. I wouldn’t be able to easily replace some of my favorites, because they aren’t sold anymore, etc…so here goes:
Newborn:
4-6 overnight/outing diapers for ease of use. I’d go with Fuzzibunz Perfect Size in small. You can buy them here: SUPPORT MY HABIT or win one here GIVEAWAY. Ends 9/21/13.
2 dozen flat diapers (these will carry over to larger babies, as well)
2 Super Brites (for their wipeability)
4 Super Whisper Wraps (for their adorability)
Larger baby:
flats (from above) — I’m a microfiber hater. Sorry. But I am. So I’d replace the inserts with the previously used flats….
18-24 Bum Genius 4.0’s in a mix of aplix and snaps — although I’d honestly do what I could to get 2nds since I use flats in the inside.
2 Hemp inserts for overnight boosters
2 of these natural inner AIOS for their cute prints
