This actually lasted just fine until we went to bed and she started coughing. We put her back in the crib — a teddy bear stuffed under the mattress raises it up to an incline the last 2 days for a cold to help her sleep. However, she took to the new bed just fine, so we have high hopes for when she is ready to make the transition post-cold. The crib is right by the bed for an artificial ‘rail’ until she doesnt’ need it anymore!
Good luck! My daughter moved to her “big” bed at 18 months. It went so well. She never got out of it on her own. She waited for me to pick her up out of it in the mornings for almost 8 months. It was awesome!
G loved his big boy bed until he realized we wanted him to sleep in it. haha. He only rolled out a few times. Now he climbs right in, snuggles his giraffe, and goes to sleep.
Good luck! My 4 month old is still in our room. I’m not sure when I’ll transfer him to his crib.
Well it was a good first effort! haha, hopefully she’s back in her new bed tonight, and no coughing! 🙂
