My parents dropped my nephew off at the airport and stopped by for a quick visit on their way back home. They admired all the work my husband did/is doing as my Christmas present to our house and had some tea, dishing up the fresh gossip from our hometown. Mostly people that aren’t doing well. Sad. It was lovely. Guess it just goes to show, perhaps there’s some other dynamic at work when so many people are gathered together. Crowd mentality maybe?
Either way, the baggie of fresh gingersnaps my mom dropped off is nearly gone. My oldest gobbled 3 within a short amount of time. The baby kept taking bites and then saying ‘ahh’ to show me her mouth was empty. Lazy beggar anyway. They adored having a treat. I enjoyed having my parents to myself, as Matt was still at work and the girls were both napping. Handy, really. I wish they could have stayed longer, but they needed to get home before dark, and I don’t blame them. They left early to get to the airport, so they’d been gone most of the day.

I seem to get a lot of ‘so-and-so passed’ when I talk to my grandma. I rarely know who they are either.
