Interviewing with Sam erm..(antha?)

I was chatting with a blog friend on facebook today and it brought to mind an interview I did with a person named Sam. Sam wore a baggy tshirt and jeans (and was a student so was forgiven for this). Sam had a short spiky styled haircut. No obvious chest. and was thin as a rail. When Sam spoke, it was in a semi-squeaky voice that could go either way. I spent half the interview trying to figure  if Sam was a man/boy or girl/woman.

I never did figure it out. I didn’t get the position either.

Has this type of thing ever happened to you? Would you ask if you didn’t know?
