I blame little miss happy. She started crying around 1. We’ve recently switched over to bigger flannel blankets-around 30×30 so not huge, but heavier and a touch bigger than the receiving blankets we were using. For some reason I got it in my head that perhaps she got it wrapped around her face (don’t ask) so I waited until I figured, if it WASN’T around her face, she was asleep, checked on her, and she was fine. At least I was ‘rational’ enough not to go bursting in there as soon as she made a noise. I’d probably still be up with her. Ah, well…

Rachel’s knew thing is to be “cozy” which means I cover her up, and then she covers her face, too, and rolls up in her blanket. So I’m no longer shutting her door all the way and going back in after she falls asleep to unearth her. Her blanket is knitted, so there are holes, but I hate it when they cover their faces. Especially when they are tangled up in their bedding. Sometimes it’s hard to get loose, you know?
