Thankfully, we have a grandmother (my mom) who listens when we suggest spring/summer toys at Christmas. I don’t know that other people understand, but when your kid’s birthday is in the fall, you don’t get much in the way of outside toys show up ‘gratis’. I’d been putting her off, saying it wasn’t spring yet, but it was 80 degrees and not muddy, not much else to say about it. She’s already playing better than I did at age 5! I know Matt will always remember teaching her to play ball, hopefully these type of instructional things will stick with her too.
Also, having her play OUTSIDE, within earshot and eyesight of the front windows is WONDERFUL! I’ll be able to open all the windows and listen for Brennan if she naps now, it’s warm enough for that, which is awesome. This is definitely a ‘fist pump’ for me, because she runs off energy and isn’t underfoot (and seemingly unhappy) all day. She looks forward to being outside, and it breaks up the day!

I’m so glad Keeley gets to be an outside girl!!! It’s always so much more interesting that what’s inside. And when she’s older, she’ll be stuck inside – A LOT.
