Involved a letter stating our ‘likes’, a wood fire, and daddy mentioning magic smoke to take our wishes to Santa. Also, a very loud giggle and excited rambling about presents. No fireplace, so it had to do. Better than the post office dead letter office, don’t you think?
Next year? I’ll do more than watch from the porch, and we’ll toast marshmallows, too.
Shhh…..don’t tell my kids but all their Santa letters have ended up in their “keeper” box – sealed away until they can see it again when they are adults.
We used to do it up the chimney. We thought it was magical!
Mmm, marshmallows… I suggested Keeley go ask you for some, but perhaps she forgot just like I did…. Another fire this weekend?
