Fun Monday: Give thanks with a grateful heart

Sayre is once again providing us with a topic for Fun Monday, we’ve switched to ‘the first Monday of the month’ and that seems to work out well, if you’re interested, just play along! stop over at Sayre‘s and sign up! Her topic for the month is: What we’re thankful for!

I know a lot of people are doing one item a day for 30 days on Facebook to show what you’re thankful for during that day. I decided not to do that, basically because it seems too forced to only say that you’re thankful for things during November, and particularly to think of 30 things, when really a handful will do.

I’m thankful that God loves me and gives me blessings, most of which I don’t deserve. I’m thankful for my husband who loves me, my daughters who are precious to me, and a network of family and friends, both in real life and online that I can count on to answer questions, share a laugh, and provide comfort. I’m thankful for the job that provides food, shelter and security for my family. and the little things that make life more enjoyable: heat, enough clothing to go a few days between washings, adorable cloth diapers to cover my baby’s tush, and…. candy. Because what is this time of year without a treat or two? For these, I am thankful.

  1. Your “things” are growing so fast! Hard to believe Brennan just got here such a short time ago!

I agree whole-heartedly with your list of thanksgivings. I’m doing the one a day thing on Facebook because it’s a good reminder for me. Obviously there’s more than one thing a day, but it does kind of concentrate my thinking in that direction!

    Thanks for playing!
