Big kid room, as done as it’s going to get… for now!

In case you don’t follow me on facebook, end of last week, Matt got Keeley’s room as finished as it’s going to get … at least for now! All the trim is down and such, obviously, he still wants to do some minor improvements in shaping around outlets and things like that, but we DID get her moved Friday night! The neighbors letting off fireworks bothered her for a while, but the addition of a fan and radio set to repeat her bible school music cd over and over finally drowned them out enough that I guess she was able to fall asleep. I think the only person having trouble adjusting to her room being up there is me, because of course, if she needs something… darnit, it’s UP THERE! Lol.

Obviously, a lot of hard work and thought went into this room. This is minus the furniture of course, once it’s all decorated, I’ll post an update. Needless to say, she’s thrilled with it, at least as thrilled as a 2 year old can be. She keeps reminding us her bed is upstairs… like we don’t know. She did ask for it to be moved back down, the first night, during the fireworks, but so far she’s happily played up there a few times, then come back down. We had a HARD TIME finding a paint that we loved for this room, but finally settled on this orange and I’m so glad we did. It is so hard to find an orange kid’s room, orange toddler room, orange nursery room, or anyone decorating with orange for a child, especially an orange girl’s room.
