I’m so sorry for your friend Katie and Shawn’s family. From what I read, she sounds like a very strong woman. I suppose she had to be. But that doesn’t make it any easier. Isn’t the CaringBridge website such a good thing? I have a friend here who had twins 7 weeks ago (at 23 weeks), lost Aubree at birth, and is dealing with the other in the NICU. Baby Alexis has cerebral palsy, but they don’t know how severe yet. CaringBridge has been a great way for her to communicate with everyone about how Alexis is doing, and also giving us insight to her feelings. I just can’t imagine what she is going through and what Katie and her family are going through. I’m so glad they have so much support.
