This is a recipe that my cousin’s wife (Barb) entered into the family cookbook. It’s awesome, and great for one of those ‘I have no idea what to fix’ nights, it’s creamy and filling.
Hamburger Stroganoff
1/2 C minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 C butter
1 lb ground beef
2 T flour
2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 (4 oz) can mushrooms, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 C sour cream
5-6 oz raw noodles, cooked
Saute onions and garlic in butter until tender; add beef and brown. Add flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms; cook for 5 minutes. Add soup; simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream; heat through. Serve over hot noodles.
