…and I don’t mean a dirty diaper. You see, I’m starting to think that my blog is a little stale. The title doesn’t really represent me. Maybe it did several years ago, before I’d moved 3 times in 6 months, had a baby, and became a mother.
The truth is, most of what we are doing is more simple, more common sense focused, and less kid-centra-focused, and unbubble wrapped as can be. It’s time to turn the modern American family back to the way it used to be. Before we wrapped the corners of our coffee tables, moved everything out of reach, bought baby einstein and chicken nuggets and catered to a child’s every whim, so as to raise the ‘perfect’ child. We’re bankrupting ourselves to fill in gaps we think can only be filled with material goods, when really, all you need to have a happy kid are grass stains and flutterbyes. I have a couple of ideas, which I’m going to work on, I’ll let you know when the changes take effect.

The new format threw me. The writing is SO tiny, I have to get really close to the screen. Perhaps I need to change some settings or something! Love the new title!!
