Fun Monday: Thanksgiving Style

This week’s host is Wendishness and she has asked people to share a list of things they are thankful for as Thanksgiving Day is this Thursday in the U.S.A. A number of the fun Monday participants aren’t in the US but we can all be thankful for things and it was a great way to join in with them. Don’t forget to visit the other FM participants and see what they’re all thankful for.

1. My husband, he has to come first, he’s my teammate, my lover, my best friend.

2. My baby girl, she’s so sweet and changing so much every day, last night, her daddy asked her to find a certain toy and she practically uprooted the playpen (the toy was under it), in her haste to comply. We think she’s EVER so smart and talented and wonderful, of course!

3. Family. Especially family that loves us unconditionally, as we do them. Sometimes I don’t get along with my family, but it is still family, also family dinners, yum!

4. Safety. I might be annoyed sometimes all of the time where we live, but at least we are safe and happy here.

5. The future, which seems to hold employment, a new house, and who knows what else?

6. God’s love.

7. Emotions. Without them, how fun would life be, really?

8. The miracle of life, from tiny heartbeats on sonograms to the wisdom of the elderly.

9. Weekends.

10. Modern conveniences, like grocery stores, and cars, and computers so I can talk to all of you!

  1. I think you covered it all. You have many blessings in your life. Thanks for sharing Jill and Best wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving to you n yours.

  2. Jill – you have a very nice list of things to be thankful for. Sounds like things are going well. And, I simply love all the outfits you got for your baby girl. Don’t you just love a bargain? Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!

  3. amen to all of them.
I would just be more thankful if I could spend an hour or two playing with your little blessing. Yaknow… blowing on her neck, and peek-a-boo behind her blankie. Sigh.

  4. OH…I loved all of your thankful items, but especially #8. Way to make a gal sniffle. Thanks 🙂 Sorry to hear about your neighbor troubles. Ack. I think I bemoaned some neighbors we had recently…they trashed the townhome adjacent to ours, they had the cops out more than once, and they brought roaches into the development…great. I christened that house the “Roach Motel” for obvious reasons. It’s even worse if you have a baby or young child at home, who might not understand what’s going on.

But – great job on the gratitude!! Here’s wishing you and yours a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Hey Jill–I suspect that this is your “thankful” list in priority order–and a good list it is. I too am so grateful to have a safe home to shelter from the world. I’m pulling for the new employment and other hoped for changes to become a reality.

I rated those cute little peppermint ponies–hope you win. I wondered if this is like voting on “Dancing with the Stars”. Do we get five votes? If so, all your blog buddies should go back again!
