We got this in the mail. How excited am I? In case it’s hard to read, it means that we were able for the first time in FOUR tries, to donate cord blood (aka stem cells) to our regional bank. That means if there was enough, it could be banked for another person in case they need a marrow type transplant, or if there’s not much, it could be used for small research with stem cells. I’m sure some people don’t agree with that, but otherwise, it’s just medical waste, so why not let it be a gift to either someone else or science?
