The F,G, and H States are what we focused on this week: Florida, Georgia, and Hawaii!
We talked about beaches, peaches, oranges and luaus! About weather, gators, and gatorade! Their art this week was to create their own treasure beach (inspired by the Florida keys!), create their own soda (Atlanta is the home of Coke!) and of course, their own island- guess which kid had a pink island with pigs? So predictable, but lovely!
Life also got in the way. I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to sort the kids clothes out and move the big kid back to her own room and put kids 2 and 3 in the same room. The only clothes they won’t share this winter are underwear and pants. Everything else is the same size, even though they’re 3 years apart. The 5 yo is just that small and the 2 year old just that big.
We’ve had very little out of the garden. It’s very disappointing, but there was a bit. A few beans, a few quarts of corn, and a few tomatoes we called our own. We had some blue skies and pretty days. I’m looking forward to fall temps and low humidity. Life goes on, whether we are studying or not!
