Does this resonate with you at all? We were driving to my nephew’s graduation (1.5 hours–and yeah we get to do it AGAIN tonight for my niece)… and it starts raining. Again. I’ve had about enough. We didn’t get wet going in, but the normally blazing hot gym was cool, and the rain poured so loudly that you couldn’t hear the sound system. Then we leave in pouring down rain, so we get soaked, and it is COLD by this point in time. Then we have to get out to go to the graduation party. We get soaked AGAIN. Mind you no one has extra clothes, all 3 girls are in a dress as if it’s going to be 90 — like it always is… brrr! It was only dripping when we left the party, but it rained on us a LOT going back home.
I am seriously not looking forward to it if it does it again. I guess we’ll pack extra clothes and/or jackets this time. Then watch, it won’t rain. Ack!
On the other hand, the kids got graduated from 8th grade and ready to go to high school. Yippee. I think some of the parents cheered so loudly because they figure it might be the only graduation the kids get. Either that, or they’re truly that excited about 8th grade graduation. Which seems difficult to imagine. Ah well, either way. Just ramblings from the farm…. got up way too early to help hubby off to work, then the toddler woke up screaming and shaking, and only the 4 year old slept past 7. Who’d a thunk it?
